The Wes Deist Aquatic Center has been a fun place for locals to enjoy during the summer for years. It previously closed to undergo renovations, but it has reopened this month! Read more to find out about what’s new with the re-opening and what activities will resume.
What’s new?
The Aquatic Center has reopened after renovations have been completed. The construction has been done to remove and replace ALL of the old ductwork on the ceilings and across the deep end of he pool. Production delays did extend the timeline of the project, but thankfully the pool is open, and all of the hard work can be shown off.
Swim Lessons
The Wes Deist Aquatic Center offers swim lessons for children as young as 6 months of age up to 12 years old. No matter how old your child is, they offer different levels of instruction to match their current skill level. Classes focus on the swimming strokes and include safety instruction as well. They also classes more specialized like Fundamentals of Diving or Fitness Swimmer.
Swim Teams
The Aquatic Center offers a swim team program all year long! This competitive swim program is open to all ages. They also host a Junior High and High School Summer Swim team.
Aquatic Fitness Classes
This is one of the best places for adults and seniors to participate in aquatic fitness. Their coaches lead a variety of classes for all skill levels. Whatever your fitness goals are, there is a class for you! Exercising in the water is a great way for everyone to stay healthy.
