What’s New in 2022?
Jeep has upgraded some of the standard features across the entire Cherokee line-up, like it’s now standard 8.4-inch touchscreen with SiriusXM. The Cherokee X now has redesigned exterior graphics, all-terrain tires and a 1-inch suspension lift. The Latitude Lux now comes standard with a 115-volt power outlet, a new gauge-cluster display, dual-zone climate and even more!
Engine
The standard engine in the 2022 Jeep Cherokee is a 270-hp 3.2-liter V-6 with an optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Both engines comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The standard is great for everyday driving, but the turbocharged four-cylinder is much better at acceleration.
Technology
Jeep’s optional Uconnect infotainment system is one of the best in the industry, loaded with features and easy to use menus. On the Latitude Plus trim and above, two USB ports become standard on the back of the center console for passengers in the rear to use. Every Cherokee comes with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, and you can even get a Wi-Fi hotspot with an available subscription.
Safety and Driver-Assistance
The Cherokee is loaded with standard driver-assistance technology. Notable standard features include
- Lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist
- Forward-collision warning with automated emergency braking
- Rear cross-traffic alert with blind-spot monitoring
