 What's New for the 2022 RAM 1500?

The RAM 1500 is a premium full-size truck that stands out in a crowded market segment. For 2022, this popular model displays several improvements throughout the lengthy trim lineup. For example, on the Big Horn trim and higher trim levels, the RAM 1500 now has an enhanced navigation system with over-the-air updating functionality. These trims also have an enhanced UConnect 5 infotainment system. Select trims add red and orange paint options to the mix. Plus, the Trailer Tow package that carries up from the 2021 model year now comes with LED lighting above the trailer hitch for enhanced functionality.

Several packages are added to the mix as well. For example, the Limited trim level now has a RED edition showing red badging and accents throughout. The Big Horn and Lone Star trims are offered with the BackCountry package. This gives you a locking rear differential, an upgraded suspension system, and other premium features that take performance to a higher level. On the Laramie and Rebel trim options, the GT package is available. This package adds metal pedals, paddle shifters on a flat-bottom steering wheel, sport bucket seats, cold air intake, and higher-end exhaust. Another new option for the 2022 model year is the Anniversary Edition. This option is available on the Limited trim, and it gives you blue exterior paint, unique badging, 22-inch wheels, a 19-speaker premium sound system, and quilted leather material.

RAM has not touched the capabilities of the 1500 truck. It continues to be offered with options like the Hemi V8 that produces 395 horsepower and the turbo-diesel V6 that carries 480 pound-feet of torque.
